Supporting EdenFiftyOne’s Growth with Strategic Technical Leadership

GoodShip* supported EdenFiftyOne through a key growth phase, combining leadership recruitment and strategic consultancy following a successful fundraise and ahead of their next investment round.

Supporting EdenFiftyOne’s Growth with Strategic Technical Leadership

At GoodShip*, we work alongside early stage and scaling businesses to support critical moments of growth, from leadership appointments to fundraising milestones. We are proud to have supported EdenFiftyOne, the Liverpool based literacy technology startup, in the appointment of their new Chief Technical Officer, Graham Owens.

This appointment follows EdenFiftyOne’s recent successful fundraise and marks an important next step as the business advances its platform and prepares to introduce new product features and digital architecture over the coming months.

Strengthening Technical Direction at a Key Moment

As EdenFiftyOne enters its next phase, strong technical leadership is central to delivering on both product ambition and long term strategy. Graham Owens joins the business with over 15 years’ experience operating as a multi industry CTO, alongside his background as a former founder.

His expertise spans digital architecture and the leadership of software and technology driven teams, with a track record of building and scaling platforms in complex, fast moving environments. This combination of hands on technical depth and commercial understanding makes him well placed to guide EdenFiftyOne’s technology function as the company grows.

GoodShip* supported EdenFiftyOne throughout the recruitment process, working closely with founder Tom Reynolds to identify a CTO aligned with both the technical requirements of the role and the wider mission of the business.

Fundraising Momentum and Investor Opportunity

The appointment comes shortly after EdenFiftyOne secured new funding to accelerate development and expand its reach. The business is now raising again, with £215,000 of SEIS allowance still available, offering an opportunity for early stage investors to support a literacy focused technology company with strong momentum.

This continued investor interest reflects confidence in the product, the team, and the market opportunity ahead.

Looking Ahead

With fresh capital in place and strengthened technical leadership, EdenFiftyOne is well positioned to continue building and evolving its platform. We are proud to have played a part in this stage of their journey and look forward to seeing the impact of the work ahead.
